Then Daddy gave Harrison the old circuit board! Harrison holds onto it every night as he falls asleep!
A walk to the garden area of our apartment complex...ready to tackle any fire that comes his way!

Our driver asked if he could borrow our car for a friends wedding and this is what the car looked like the next day!  Really beautiful!

Seattle Arrives in Hyderabad

Seattle Arrives in Hyderabad

An obscure little coffee shop named after Captain Ahab’s chief mate opened its first shop in Hyderabad. It’s just a couple blocks from our church, so we stopped in today after services. The building itself is finished in the meticulous quality and detail that you would expect, with chalkboards, reclaimed wood, and a large wall of mugs for sale that will be immediately familiar to any Starbuck’s regular. At the same time though, there are enough hints of India to feel local and not out of place. It is also, without question, the largest Starbuck’s I have ever been in, with plenty of seating on the main floor and overlooking balcony to accomodate the large crowd.

The coffee itself was Starbuck’s. No surprises. No Indian twist. Just exactly the same decent-but-not-great cup of coffee I’ve had at every other Starbuck’s ever.

I’ve long said that Starbuck’s food is better than their coffee, and the food here did not disappoint. The menu was a mix of western and Indian flavors and I tried a salmon & cheese sandwich on a croissant roll. Sara got a chicken pastry that ended up being more Indian spice than she was expecting or in the mood for, but I tried it and found it to be quite tasty as well.

Baby Bagel #2 coming soon...

We will be moving back to Seattle in July with a bundle of joy! Baby Bagel #2 is due April 18th! The doctor saw me at 5.5 weeks and found a hemorrhage so I began taking progesterone three times a day. I feel very Blessed that the doctors here in Hyderabad give ultrasounds so early and the hemorrhage was detected. At 10 weeks the hemorrhage had been absorbed, a huge Blessing! I continued to feel really nausea, tired and VERY emotional until my 12 week appointment and I am officially off progesterone! I am feeling a lot less nausea, tired and emotional!

It is illegal to find out the sex of our baby in India - though I have always liked the idea of not knowing until he/she is born. As we get older, there are less surprises in life so I am excited not to know. I have been going to The Birthplace, http://www.thebirthplace.com

I won't lie, not giving birth nor seeing my most loved Dr. Johannsen at Northwest Women's Healthcare in Seattle was/is a bit of a bummer.

I continue to pray everyday, throughout the day for a healthy, strong and happy Bagel. God is so good!

Back from UK

My mini mommy holiday was wonderful. It was so great to catch up with an old friend and have fun together. We spent most of our time walking around several different villages while talking, eating and shopping. Besides being with Aliza, my highlight of the trip was going to see Phantom Of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre in London.

While I was away, Harrison and Daddy were very busy....

Watching many episodes of Spiderman cartoon
Taking stock of the train tracks

Sorting Legos before making a masterpiece...
Hobbit Train!

UK bound

I have made it to UK!

What do ya know I go on a mini mommy vacation and sit next to a four year whom liked to put her feet on me! Ha! At least she slept for most of the 10 hour flight. I LOVED flying British Airways and having no layovers.

I am so proud of myself for navigating the public transportation from Heathrow Airport to Godalming yesterday. I was so nervous and really wanted to take the easy way out by taking an Uber car but the cost was twice as much and I couched myself, "put your big girl panties on and just do it! You will feel so empowered once you overcome this hurdle!!" I feel so empowered- wow this girl has come a long way!!!

Today I will be spending the morning walking around High Street and will probably go into 90% (especially the consignment stores!!!!) of the shops and simply walk, walk, walk while I breathe in the fresh air!

Once my dear friend Aliza is done with work we will talk until we are out of words, drink coffee and eat some great food!!

Thank you to the love of my life for taking care of Harrison while mommy is away!
