Scottsdale with bff since 3rd grade!

Thankful for sunshine and mountain from our patio

And an orange tree

Wine Girls was a great fine and perfect way to spend our last day, glad Amanda discovered it

My mind immediately thought of Minecraft or marshmallows

Beautiful view before having dinner along the canal

Cold rain and wind to end our trip before saying goodbye and back to our mommyhood of boys. Until our next adventure together!

Glimpses of last week

But first, here is Harrison with his classmates at their last snow adventure yesterday. Since returning from Christmas break each grade goes on a snow adventure during the school day. They have intentions for the day and work together while having fun. Thanks be to God Harrison and Lewis are back at school this week.

Swinging and using their amazing imaginations!

Lewis and his "Lewis Co truck"

Lewis continues to amaze me with his creative ideas...robot boy is in the house!

Getting the call from Harrison's school Monday morning sent me into high anxiety mode. Bill and I knew we would get covid at some point and no time would be the "right" time. I am thankful Harrison's only symptom was being tired. I picked Lewis up from school though his test was negative. Bill and I took a rapid test Monday with results being negative. I spent the morning rescheduling appointments. Lewis was scheduled for two school visit days and those will happen at a later date...it will all be okay. God has always guided us and having to reschedule visits and appointments is okay. It was out of my control and that is tough for me. The outpouring of support from my friends was incredibly sweet. I didn't need anything since we have plenty of food and food delivery is contactless. So we hunkered down for the week.

Speaking of door service...I was set to meet my two friends for coffee and instead one friend dropped off a breakfast sandwich and chocolate, rushed home and we had coffee and breakfast via Zoom, Thank you Nina and Catherine.

Covid positive over here

We are all fully vaccinated and knew it was going to happen at some point. Harrison tested positive yesterday at school. He is tired and had a headache last night. I picked up Lewis from school after getting Harrison. Lewis’s rapid test was negative at school. We have cancelled all plans for the week and are hunkering down as a family. Bill and I took rapid tests yesterday and we are also negative. Lewis, Bill and I will have a PCR test on Thursday.

Even though I knew it was going to happen and we are fully vaccinated the anxiety I feel is high. I have been praying and taking deep breaths. Nagel strong, we got this.

Concrete and time with Lewis

It’s starting to come together finally!

2.8 mile walk with Lewis this morning. First, staying away from the concrete snakes followed by stopping at a few free little libraries and a cookie stop. Once home Lewis made a space map and we did a little more walking. I love his imagination. I have never been very good at (or enjoy) making up stories or building Legos with random pieces. Walking and using my imagination I can do!

Monday adventures

Monday morning Lewis woke up with a puffy eye and pain. Thankfully it wasn’t pink eye but an annoying stye. After ibuprofen and time he was able to fully open his left eye and made an Antarctica scene.
Meanwhile Harrison was on his Monday Exped day….unfortunately they didn’t go to Gold Creek due to road conditions so they headed to Carkeek Park.
