8th grade backpacking trip

Harrison has a successful backpacking trip filled with adventures and getting to know some classmates better. His favorite parts were the trees and mountains.

Mission Impossible

Created by Harrison when he found the Tom Cruise minifigure. One of many things I love about Harrison is his imagination.

D&D plus Adventure Quest

Lewis made his first campaign for Bill and I to play. So fun experiencing his creativity.

Lewis spent the week while Harrison was away at overnight camp adventuring with his friend Nora at Majestic Adventures Camp.

It’s so good to have Harrison home again.

Kill Devil Hills, NC

Putt putt was a huge hit for Harrison and Lewis

Cousins, boys vs girls! Lots of imagination, laughter, and love

Oh dear was the sand incredibly HOT and not our thing. We do much better on Northwest beaches not East Coast! We are thankful for grandma and grandpa treating us to a week at the beach to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

Seaside, OR memories

Blessed to have Michael join us for 4th of July
Bill and I met Michael the first day we moved into our apartment in Seattle, April 2007. We have shared incredible amounts of laughter and life over the past 16 years!

God Bless America

Harrison and Lewis wanted pizza for dinner…we did not so off we went. Thankful Harrison is old enough to keep an eye on Lewis.

Strong in faith and love

I may actually enjoy the sand…stay tuned for more sand adventures this summer.

Detective camp

Last week Lewis went to summer camp at Matheia (he has corrected me more than once that it is not summer school!)
He had a great time reaching his goal of becoming Captain at the end of camp…apparently he also committed the crime of eating. I love his imagination.

Tom Hanks at Seattle Arts & Lectures

I was steps away from Tom Hanks and felt honored to be close and present in his conversation. It felt genuine, honest, funny and faithful. I look forward to starting his new book, The Making of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece.

Happy 13th birthday Harrison

Happy 13th birthday my sunshine boy

Today 13 years ago we were blessed with Harrison. My heart is overflowing with love and excitement as he continues to grow in his faith, spread his wings, and being compassionate for others.

Harrison you are loved deeply, no matter what. I admire the way you advocate for yourself,  learned (and continuing to learn) how your amazingly wired brain works, passionate about what you love and persistent in what you want. Your creative imagination fuels your love for making movies, telling stories and hilarious jokes. The books you read are too complex for me (at your age and still) and I love it. Thank you Harrison for your forgiveness and love.
