This is life as of lately...

Over the past couple months I have been reflecting on how hard it is to keep in touch with family and friends. I think of my family and friends throughout my days. Many times I am praying for them as I go about my errands, appointments, coffee sipping, kid playing, etc. It has become difficult for me to call anyone let alone shoot a text message. After talking to my sister Liz and finding comfort in the reality of life as a wife and momma, this is normal. Thankfully when I finally do connect with my family and friends, we are able to pick up where we left off. Thanks be to God.

In my past trips to Indiana I have spent time with family and friends...mostly friends. I am preparing to fly tomorrow morning with Bill and Lewis to be reunited with Harrison and to spend much needed time with family. We will first spend three nights at Bill’s parents house and then head to Terre Haute for four nights. Bill and I will leave Harrison and Lewis in my families hands as we head to India for a week. Our flight is on July 7th and we will return to Indianapolis on Friday July 13th at midnight. Crazy how long the travel takes to Hyderabad (arrive in Hyderabad at 5:15am on  Monday, July 9 and leaving Hyderabad on a 7:15am flight Friday, July 13th). My plan while in Hyderabad is to love on Aliya and her six month old baby girl, Nedha. Please pray for safe travels and great connection with family.

Trying to be the best Sara I can be can is HARD. It can be tiring and make me doubt whom I am. I found myself a couple weeks ago screaming more at Harrison and Lewis (this is NOT the momma I strive to be!) After that I reached out to my therapist Heidi for a recap of tools I once learned and needed desperately to access. Thankful for a therapist whom understands me and can help guide me through mommyhood.

Last thoughts for now...
Harrison and Lewis have a brotherhood and friendship so strong. I marvel in the love and compassion they have for each other.

Harrison's first solo trip to Grandma and Grandpa's

Thumbs up, this boy is ready to go with Grandma and Grandpa!
Strong muscles to bring up gma and gpa's luggage

He's all ready! We love you Harrison and will see you on Friday evening. This momma's heart though a short (4 nights) first time would be best. Lewis handled his brothers departure well and has VBS at his preschool and some play dates this week.
They made it to Indiana! Harrison is chomping down on a steak burger! In the past couple months Harrison has discovered that he likes steak, woohoo!

Stella and Sara reunion

It was a wonderful long weekend (Wednesday-Sunday) to have my dear friend Stella and her son, Ethan come visit us. Stella and I met in August 2013 while living in Hyderabad, at a local coffee shop. We became fast friends and the boys did the same. We had many playdates and lots of laughter. Stella now lives in Indonesia...another place on our list to visit. Stella and Ethan barely recovered from jet-lag (flew Indonesia to Texas) before coming to Seattle. They are now back in Texas until next month.
Ethan showed Harrison some Minecraft moves, boys and their ipads!
Top Pot Donuts was our first stop on Friday morning
Photo bomb Harrison, lol
Space Needle was the next MUST do! It was the perfect day for seeing the city.

Pacific Science Center super windy fun!
Love these two boys...Seattle Aquarium
Seattle Great Wheel...the memories created are priceless...now a look back to 3.5 years ago...
